FLiP Editors featured on onPhilanthropy.com

A follow-up to Jessica Stannard-Friel's hit article, which was posted on our parent site onPhilanthropy.com went live earlier this week. This article hits another home run to follow up her widely distributed article from last week. What is driving young professionals from the non-profit sector? This week, Jess discusses the results of a recent YNPN survey indicating the non-profit sector may face a dangerous lack of leadership as the current generation retires. Her part two answers many of the uncertainties of part one.

However, Jess isn’t the only FLiP editor being highlighted on onPhilanthropy. This time, Josh Moore and Maria Nardell – who teamed up to write one of FLiP’s best known pieces, The Women’s Sector? Not Quite… – take on social entrepreneurship.

The article covers the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business Conference of Social Entrepreneurs. What exactly is social entrepreneurship? Josh and Maria lead with this:

Its proponents call it an innovative international movement that applies business principles to social problems, emphasizing creativity and scalable impact for changing the world.  Some are more skeptical, suggesting that it is a fancy way of describing a century-long practice that is currently in vogue among a group of self-righteous elites from top-tier universities.

FLiPs, have a great weekend and check back with us for the If I Only Knew Then issue starting next week!
